Well, Linux has been attracting quite a load of attention these days. With Ubuntu now the Linux Desktop is very easy to use. Also with the most modern distros including a click-to-install manager is easier than ever to find software. If you look at any OS Statistics chart you’ll see that Linux is sort of an Underdog. With Microsoft Windows dominating 90% of the market and OS X steadily rising to 8% and up Linux falls behind with it’s less than impressive .80%. However market share does not determine how well an OS will run. Ubuntu is headed on the right road. With a User-friendly UI, impressive desktop eye candy via Compiz Fusion, and easy of package installment Ubuntu well be the first Linux Distro to hit mainstream. Maybe even Commercial , but with that thought comes to the chance of destruction that happened to RedHat.

Well on YouTube or anyplace else on the web this subject has been talked about over and over again. I have a very different stance on this idea. I don’t think Jobs will leave anytime soon. If you do some research Job and Gates are about the same age. However just 1 month ago Bill Gates left Microsoft. This has been in the plan for years. However when you think of Apple they have not talked about this publicly. Jobs is here to stay he is what made Apple comeback from near bankruptcy. Just hope Microsoft can do well with out good old Gates.

Well this might be a little too late but if you watched WWDC 2008 which can be found here you heard about Snow Leopard. Now Snow Leopard is not a major release of Mac OS X. It is a maintenance release that will have better support for Intel processors. However with the sacrifice to promote efficiency one thing was lost. As of the latest beta it is Intel only. This leads many to believe that the Gold Master or RTM is going to be Intel only. Now the thing is man PPC Mac users will not be able to upgrade past Leopard. PPC Mac were sold all the way up to 2006! Common Apple why in the hell would you do this so early?

Well now that I am a Mac user I really don’t have to worry how horrible the next release of Windows will be. However Windows 7 might look like a change for the good. There are two known builds of Windows 7. The First one: Build 6519 M1. However there is a second leaked build 6.1.6574.1 which seems to have a some new feature as shown at D6. Information on Windows 7 can be seen here. The D6 presentation can be shown here. The D6 video shows Build 6.1.6574.1.
